Christmas

Both Mer and Charlie awoke at 6:45 am on Christmas morning, and they were so excited to see that Santa came with gifts.  Charlie was excited to join in on the action this year.
Later that afternoon, Meredith enjoyed playing outside and building a snow fort.

Christmas at Meijer Gardens

We enjoyed a fun Sunday visit to Meijer Gardens to view the Christmas tree displays.  Mer and Charlie's favorite exhibition was the miniature train / miniature Grand Rapids display.

Santa Parade

Meredith, Patsi, Gavin, and I braved the cold on Saturday for the Rockford Santa Parade.  We were rewarded with music, floats, Santa, and LOTS of candy.

Visit With Santa

 

It's been a long time since our last post, but now we're back, and ready for some holiday fun!  We had a great time visiting Santa today at Flowerland (ok, maybe not all of us had a great time....poor Charlie).   Meredith knows exactly what toys she wants for Christmas and she gave Santa her full list.  We then had a cookie and some hot chocolate before checking out Santa's reindeer.  Maybe Charlie will be more interested in talking to Santa next year.

Halloween Class Party

I was able to snap a few pictures of the Halloween class party and parade before the camera battery died.  Meredith liked sitting on the rug with her friends and she proudly stood to announce that she dressed as a bee when it was her time to introduce her costume.

Pumpkin Carving

Mer enjoyed carving the pumpkins after dinner tonight.  She did a very good job picking out seeds from the pulp - ready for roasting.  3 days until the big show!!
