Pumpkin Carving
Mer enjoyed carving the pumpkins after dinner tonight. She did a very good job picking out seeds from the pulp - ready for roasting. 3 days until the big show!!

Zoo Goes Boo
We enjoyed a fun afternoon at John Ball Zoo with Patsi, Bryan, and Gavin. The kids had fun trick-or-treating, playing games like ring toss and bean bag toss, checking out clowns and, of course, checking out the animals. The bumble bee, the dinosaur, and Mr. Potato Head were a great trio.

Fall Saturday at the Park
We enjoyed some playtime at the park on Saturday afternoon. Charlie likes watching Mer play on the slide.

Weekend
We had a fun time visiting Meijer Gardens on Saturday, however, the kids were not interested in posing for many pictures - particularly Charlie. While Mer enjoyed rock climbing at the Y this evening (activity in her sports sampler class), I tried to get a couple more photos of Charlie.

Birthday - Round 2
We enjoyed celebrating Meredith's 5th birthday with family on Sunday. She loved playing with her fun gifts: a princess puppet, sticker books, "Wizard of Oz" DVD (her current fay-brit movie), and an archery set from uncle Eric so she can be just like Princess Merida from the movie, "Brave." A Hello Kitty birthday cake was a great way to finish the party.

Happy Birthday, Meredith!
Meredith had a fun-filled birthday! She brought cupcakes to school for her classmates, and she had a great day at school. We opened cards & presents (thank you all!) and had a spaghetti & meatball dinner (by request) before a yummy dessert of vanilla cake and chocolate ice cream. We look forward to celebrating again on Sunday with the Sperlings....and Charlie won't be sleeping for round 2!
