Memorial Day Weekend

We've been enjoying our Memorial Day weekend. We had a picnic at the park, but a highlight was visiting the beach in Holland on Sunday....with a few thousand friends. Mer loves the water and she had a blast.

90 Degrees in May?!

Running in the sprinkler is the best way to spend a hot weekend in May!

Mother's Day

We had a nice, relaxing Mother's Day; we enjoyed visiting Holland State Park, playing at the beach, swinging on the swings, and watching the boats in the channel.

Fishing

Mer tested out her new Barbie fishing pole at Pickerel Lake today. We had some bites, but unfortunately didn't catch anything. She had fun anyway.

Happy Birthday!

"They say it's your birthday....it's my birthday too, yeah!"
Meredith was very excited for her Daddy's birthday. So excited, in fact, that she declared she must have a birthday cupcake as well when we went to the store to pick out a birthday treat for Daddy. And yes, she insisted on having candles on her cupcake.

Roasting Marshmallows

Well, after weeks of begging (by both Sean and Meredith), we had the first backyard fire of the season last night. Mer loved roasting marshmallows, and she and her daddy both loved sitting by the fire.

Appletree Carnival

We had a fun time at the Appletree Family Carnival this morning. Mer enjoyed playing lots of fun games (including ping-pong ball and bean bag toss), coloring, face painting and winning prizes.
