Weekend Fun

I'm sorry to report that we don't have many fun pics of this weekend, as Sean and I were gutting landscaping from the side of the house and digging a new garden bed along the back of the house. But, the landscaping is coming along. Mer chose to wear her sailor outfit for Friday's "hat day" at school and was just thrilled. Charlie loved the excitement. Mer and Charlie also got in on the gardening action this afternoon; Fairy Garden 2015 is set!

April Adventures

We celebrated Sean's birthday a couple weeks ago with an ice cream cake. Mer lost tooth #6 on Friday. On Sunday, we took a walk at the park to search for 12 special rocks to bring to school for her geology unit. Charlie liked rock hunting, too!

Butterflies and Blooms

We look advantage of Tuesday evening extended hours at Meijer Gardens, enjoying dinner outside, butterflies, and warmer temps. The kids love this place!

Water Park Fun

We had a lot of fun with LaLa, Bumpa, aunt, uncle, and cousins swimming at a hotel outside of Grand Rapids this weekend.

Easter Fun

We had a fun Easter weekend. We dyed eggs yesterday afternoon. And today the Sperlings came over for an Easter dinner. We hunted for Easter eggs in the backyard.

Sunday Fun

We've had a relaxing couple weeks.  Last Sunday, we went to a Japanese steakhouse in GR as a special treat for the kids, and they both loved the experience!  Even Mer, who doesn't typically like Asian cuisine (she does not like soy sauce), enjoyed her meal.  Per usual, Charlie had no problem cleaning his plate.
Today we visited Rockford and an art gallery / children's activity center that had lots of fun toys - Legos and marble builders.
