We had a wonderful Christmas at LaLa & Bumpa's house. Meredith enjoys her new Dora playtent, her shopping cart, and the game, and books from Bryan, Patricia, and Eric. Meredith even went sledding on down the hill by herself - very brave! It was a great family visit.

Opening Grandma's Gift

Meredith loves her Christmas gift from Grandma Brown; she loves Santa Claus!

Baby Doll

Meredith loves her new farm set and especially her baby doll - Baby Alive bounces up and down and coos when you press her hand.

Santa's Here!

We're heading to Grand Rapids this afternoon, so Santa came a day early! Meredith was so excited to unwrap the gifts he brought her, including a Play Doh set, Sessame Street play set, Little People Farm set, and the beloved Baby Doll!

Visit with Santa 2010

Meredith met Santa this morning before going to her Christmas party with her daycare friends. She did fantastic, thanks largely to the prep she did with Momma. She asked Santa for a baby doll and farm toy (like her chances...) and then wowed the ladies at the counter by explaining that:

A) Rudolph has a red nose.
B) Meredith has blue eyes and pointed out her eyebrows.
C) Announced 'Meredith is 2'

She thanked and hugged Santa before leaving. Good Girl!

Visit at Grandma's House

Meredith loved checking out Grandma's Christmas decorations, especially the small church, nativity scene, and the ornaments on the tree (loves that violin ornament)! She also enjoyed unwrapping a pretty gift from Aunt Nancy & Uncle Greg.

Snowman

Meredith and I got bundled up to play outside today during Detroit's first big snow storm. The show was perfect for making a snowman, who Meredith loved (she gave him many hugs).

Bedtime Rituals

Meredith has very specific demands, err, expectations when it comes to the friends she wants in her bed each night. As you can see from the photo above, the following 13 items must be in the crib with Meredith: blue elephant, yellow lion, purple elephant (she calls him "other elephant"), white lamby, Dora & Boots (these are actually bath toys, but will not hear of putting them in water), monkey (the original), yorkie doggie, bear with Lions jersey, Buzz & Woody, baby doll (in various stages of undress, but the baby, her dress, and her diaper all must be accounted for), and ladybug pillow pet. And yes, Meredith does take inventory!

Holiday Treats

A few of Meredith's favorite things right now include, Buzz, Woody & all things Toy Story, Candy Canes, and the special time at the end of the day when it's time to open a new day on Grandma's advent calendar and take a special M&M from the Christmas stocking advent calendar (or as she calls it, "the chocolate sock").
