Vacation - Days 1 & 2

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Glen Arbor at the Homestead.  It was a fun start to our summer!
Here are some pics from the first day:
View of Lake Michigan from the condo balcony

Beautiful Crystal River behind the condo (huge trout)

Empire, MI - Sleeping Bear Dunes visitor center
Mer was taken with the National Park rangers in the park and she picked our her own ranger doll - "Lauren"

Mer and her Junior Ranger park guide

Checking out the blacksmith shop in the town of Glen Haven

We got to take home a dinner bell as a souvenir from the shop

Sleeping Bear Point Coast Guard Station

Enjoying rock candy from the Glen Haven General Store

While Charlie and Daddy took an afternoon nap, Mer and I conquered the Dune Climb

Naptime's over - beach time!

Day 2 was very rainy; we headed to Traverse City for some shopping and to check out the Great Lakes Children's Museum

Wow! A great view of Lake Michgan from the balcony. It is so much fun to see the grandkids enjoying some of the same things we did as a family, only with a new "take and touches" from the Sperling family. You certainly packed in lots of wonderful activities. Northern Michigan is just the best for a family summer vacation! Thanks for sharing.
