Vacation - Day 6

We hopped on our bikes after lunch, optimistic that the clouds would part, and they did! We biked to the "doom climb," and Charlie wanted to follow Mer to the very top. We were impressed with his stamina. We then rode back to Glen Arbor for some window shopping, a snack, and a visit to the playground; it was a great afternoon.

Vacation - Days 4 & 5

We're having fun, despite inclement weather...we went to Traverse City yesterday and visited Geand Traverse Pie Company (Mer liked her slice of cherry), the Old Mission Lighthouse, and the Great Lakes Children's Museum. Following dinner, the kids enjoyed a big bath in the bathtub.
Today we went to Tucker's of Northport for bowling and lunch. Charlie had never been bowling before, but he loved using the dinosaur ball launch ramp to roll his ball down the lane. Later this afternoon, we went to Grocer's Daughter Chocolates for a late afternoon treat - delicious!

Vacation - Day 3

Today was overcast but fortunately not raining, and we made the most of it. We traveled to Leland to check out Fishtown, throw some rocks in the river, and enjoy a fresh whitefish lunch at The Cove.  When we got back in the car, the kids fell asleep immediately, so we decided to just keep driving rather than wake them up. We ended up in Traverse City. We walked down Front Street and window shopped. Then we went to Pirate's Cove for some mini-golf.  Charlie absoutly loved it!
